On the Tree Tops Owl Invitation and Baby Shower

I had a hoot of a time throwing a baby shower this summer for my sister-in-law, Elizabeth. She just briefly mentioned that she might incorporate owls in the baby's room and I went owl crazy. I had been thinking about designing an owl invitation, so I jumped at the chance to not only design an owl invitation, but a banner, favor tags and throw an owl themed party! It was a ton of fun to pull everything together. After designing the On the Tree Tops Owl Invitation I incorporated the green, white, pink and purple colors and the woodsy feel throughout the shower. I found a great round, wooden basket chip and dip tray and wooden owl at The Basket Peddler in downtown Cornelia, Georgia. For favors I filled clear bags with Jelly Bellies to resemble little eggs and tied them with green and white polka dot ribbon and matching owl favor tags. I wish I had seen these adorable Owl Sugar Cookies from Truly Scrumptious Cookies on Etsy, they would have been perfect. I used a twig wreath to surround the ice cream bowl for our brownie Sunday bar, but used some of my family crystal parfait glasses to give it an extra special feel. During my search for all things owls, I found this lovable Hooter the Owl Pillow at BedBuggs Boutique on Etsy, which would make a perfect gift. Fun and Games with the Jungle Animals Birthday Invitation

With summer fast approaching this cute and cuddly Jungle Animals Birthday Invitation swings in just in time for all those warm weather parties. They are the perfect start to a roaring good birthday party! After designing this invitation I went on a little safari of my own in search of some jungle friendly party ideas and here is what I found. I absolutely love these cupcake toppers from TwoSugarBabies! I found them on Etsy and fell in love with them.  For table decorations use bananas, mini binoculars and animal crackers, which also double as favors. Turn a typical game of hide and seek into an afternoon of fun by hiding stuffed jungle animals around the yard and giving each child a safari hat and binoculars to "search" for the animals. 

Spring Showers Bring Summer Weddings and Babies!

I have been flooded with spring showers here at The Basket Peddler and I'm loving it! I have been busy creating colorful bridal and baby shower invitations all month. These are some of my favorites and I will try to post more as time permits.   As with all my custom invitations the color combinations, fonts and wording can all be revised to match any color scheme or theme. These invitations shown are 5 x 7 in size and printed on premium white cardstock. Matching envelope return address is always a good option to add to your order! Daisies are in Bloom

Okay, so I have finally put together my first photo collage!! I was inspired by a beautiful invitation one of my customers ordered from the Birchcraft album. The one shown here is from Carlson Craft and it is hot off the press. I have been saving the photo of the cake from Martha Stewart Weddings for months, so the invitation just gave me a little more motivation to finish this. I designed the yellow and white programs for a customer last summer. Her colors were yellow and purple, but I think they would look very nice with grey or black also. I love the cute yellow bridesmaid dress from Dessy; it's not too formal and not too casual; just perfect for a summer outdoor wedding. The daisy monogram on the church door and the little yellow boutonniere add just a touch of whimsy. My mom should love this post; daisies are her favorite flower!

Frog Baby Shower Invitation Party Pack

Every year something magical happens between Christmas Eve and Valentine's Day for many lucky ladies. Yes, it's wedding engagement season once again! For new brides begining the search for invitations, 2010 trends range from colorful to traditional and today's brides are lucky because anything goes right now.
